Great experience! You must be there on time for the longhorn steer street parade. This 140 year plus historic center of live stock processing/sales tells a great story about the early years of this industry. There are many great attractions, restaurants and bars close by to enjoy. Parking is plentiful, but be prepared to walk as it's required to enjoy the full experience. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

For someone who's never been to Texas and who loves Western vibes, this was such a cool visit! The sculptures and buildings were lovely and it was great to see the Coliseum where there's still rodeos today. Unfortunately on this occasion I missed the longhorns running the street but I'll def check that out on my next visit. So much history here......

Popular tourist spot but great for tourists and locals alike. Lots of fun things for kids. Cool area to walk around, see the animals. The petting zoo was fun ($5 to get in, $3 for a cup of seeds that lasted well). Longhorns are definitely cool to see in person. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Parking all over. There’s a long narrow lot that’s east access without dealing with driving down the main drag - $15 on the weekend (all day)

This place was amazing. So much to see and do. Loved the cattle drive, the horse drawn carriage ride, being able to get pictures of my mom sitting on a bull, and the live entertainment. The John Wayne museum was also very interesting.Just be prepared EVERYTHING/EVERYWHERE IS CREDIT CARD ONLY - NO CASH. Also would highly recommend using the valet parking service.

Went in December on a Monday morning so not much was happening. There was some Christmas activities going on like ice skating and pictures with santa. Not a whole lot of people were around so it was nice to walk around without people or traffic.I walked past this bizarre storage room of interesting taxidermy. Since it's winter the train wasn't running through the station to drop and pick people up. The cattle drive was kind of fun but also a bit uneventful. They just walked past us normally.

Cool and interesting place to check out, they do cattle drive 2x daily, at 11:30 and 4pm. There are shops and restaurants you can eat nearby. Kids loved the pony rides at $8 a person, we also did the horse ride at $15 per person, and mini train ride at $5 a person. Bathroom on the outside by the trailer is cleaner!

This is definitely a must-do if you ever find yourself in Fort Worth. The Historic Stockyards do not disappoint one bit. There are many shops, restaurants, shows, and other activities that will give you almost a full day of fun. As you walk down the Stockyard Strip (Exchange Ave), the smell of smoked BBQ will delight your senses. Horse drawn carriage rides are available, as well as photo opportunities with some real longhorn steer. Twice a day they have a cattle drive, it doesn’t last very long (roughly10 minutes), but it’s definitely worth it to see the longhorn steer parade down the road as they have daily for over 20 years.Depending on when you choose to visit, parking can be a little challenging. There is paid parking on Exchange Ave, however, I recommend walking a little further to the main or side roads if you want to park for free.I highly recommend the Fort Worth Stockyards for a unique Texas experience.

Such a cool place. If you’re in Fort Worth then the Stockyards should be top of your list to visit.A real authentic cowboy town with loads to do for people of all ages. There is a cattle drive twice a day which is worth catching, there’s plenty of shops to browse as well as great places to eat and cool saloons for a drink and some live music.We were a family with children aged 16, 13 and 8 and they all enjoyed it. Will definitely be coming back

In short - it's like old cowboy town /village.I liked the place very much you will get see horses, bulls, horse carts (15$ ride), vintage cars. Vintage looking food restaurant, steak house, burger house etc. themed gifts shops with actually good gift items [all pics attached].MAKE SURE YOU VISIT AT A SPECIFIC TIME OF DAY WHEN YOU HAVE 1HR DURING DAY LIGHT AND 2-4 HRS DURING NIGHT. This will help you enjoy both days view and night lightings.

It was way too hot. So we did lots of shopping to keep cool. Their parking lots suck. No card readers for us techno challenged folks. My sister and niece couldn't figure out how to pay by phone and ended up getting a $40 parking ticket. I drove my car and was able to pay using my PayPal so no parking ticket for me. But they should have a card reader. One of the shops I was in the employee said there are a lot of complaints regarding parking so beware, you better have a way to pay using your phone, otherwise you will get a ticket. It was so hot that they didn't have the longhorns walk through the streets like they normally do. But there was other fun stuff to do. You could do a trail ride on friendly horses, and right next to that was a petting zoo. Next time we'll go in the fall and not the summer. We went on a Wednesday and we were told more activities were available on weekends.

This is a wonderful family fun friendly place. The kids loved it. We loved it. Shops, fun activities, characters, mini-dramas, and the inside climate controlled full rodeo. Suggestion: buy your tickets online inadvanced. We didn't have bad seats, but didn't have a lot to choose from and would have liked to be closer than we were.

My visit to the Fort Worth Stock Yards was great! We stayed at the Hotel Drover, and walked around to all the nearby shops and restaurants. We watched the cattle drive, took a horse and buggy ride, enjoyed some delicious Mexican food, and bought some great Texas souvenirs! I highly recommend a visit to the stock yards if you’re in the area.

If you're in Dallas and you're looking for something different, this place is a MUST, specially if you're into cowboy vibes. There's a free-of-charge show everyday at 11:30am and 4:00pm, which consists of a "parade" with long horn cows and some guys riding horses, they explain the history of the place among other interesting facts. You can drink on the streets, there are plenty of bars and restaurants and it's also a good place for shopping. It's a place perfect for the family or simply to go with friends and have a good time. We all enjoyed it a lot.

Action packed entertainment from start to finish! If you have never been to a rodeo this is a must see if in Fort Worth. Stockyards features bull riding, bucking broncos, tie down roping of calves, and barrel racing. Events are held in the Cowtown Coliseum, an indoor rodeo so the weather does not matter. The Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District portrays the Western heritage of the Texas livestock industry. Twice a day there is a well-attended longhorn cattle drive on the street. Truly an awesome way to spend a day.

this is an amazing place to visit if you like cowboys culture or like to have a great BBQ! you will find a magical place to stay and enjoy with your families, there a lot of things to do for your children and a vast amount of shops and very good restaurants, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this place!

Amazing I love it here. This is my number one spot for shopping dining plus a little drinking. There are so many great restaurants and shopping spots. If you’re looking for a great time to do what you love this is definitely worth a visit. I never get disappointed with the Fort Worth Stockyards and I always enjoy seeing the western side of Texas.

The best tourist's attraction in Fort Worth! Lots of people during the weekend (F U Covid!). The area was vacated last year but has since gained back its patrons! And I'm glad because this place has so much history and culture. There is the rodeo, the museum of cattle trading, the historic buildings converted to hotels and restaurants. Two of my favorite BBQ places are in this area.

Saw the Cattle Drive today and also saw it in December close to Christmas time and it was absolutely amazing both times. Before it started there was this awesome Texan there talking about the history and it was quite fascinating, I learned so much.We got to take pics with the longhorn and see the cows which was awesome.The entire street, the look, the stores are all worth it. It was absolutely amazing.If you're in forth worth you gotta check this is you won't be disappointed at all.Definitely recommend a visit.

Love this place! It’s CRAZY FUN. If you love or like the old western this is the place for you. Plenty of fun, food, drinks. Entertainment, accommodations and most importantly lots of PARKING. We moved to the DFW Area over a year ago and we love that this area has so much to offer. Fun for everyone Men, Women and Definitely Children. Please visit the museum and tours first as they will allow you to fully understand and embrace the time period. Last Don’t forget to watch the Cattle Drive which happens every day at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm Most importantly have fun, I me and my family did. We will definitely be back. Thank you Texas Stockyards

I was bracing myself for a tourist trap but I was very wrong.Friendliness:Firstly, everyone working in the stores and restaurants I visited and the staff involved in the shows and attractions were very welcoming and friendly. The prices for food, souvenirs and attractions are normal and reasonable. No price gouging in any of the places I visited.Attractions:There’s something for everyone in the family. The cattle drive is entertaining and the comedy shootout show afterwards is a must see. Carriage rides were also fun but I really enjoyed simply hanging out in the well maintained Exchange Ave where you can have beer while you walk around.Parking rates ($16.50 a day) are expensive if you are visit only for couple of hours but worth it if you are spending a whole day. Furthermore, there is a good amount of parking. There were few empty spots close to all the attractions on a Saturday of memorial weekend around noon.

Absolutely wonderful place to take the family or friends. Lots of restaurants and bars. A place where you can sit and relax and enjoy the amazing views of nature and people. Lots of variety of food choices. You can enjoy the boat tours and they have park Police so you can few extra safe as well. We will come back again for sure!!

This is a great place to see some of the history of Texas. The area is full of restaurants and bars. You can also see live rodeo at night and watch cattle drives during the day. We saw one at high noon. Parking in the middle of the area seems limited. We had to use valet parking for our hotel. There are also several shops selling Texas style clothing and accessories.

Cute little tourist area. I loved the Fort Worth vibes. Similar to any main st. it's put together nicely with a lot of boutique food choices. If you need a hat or boots, they have you covered, too. My only complaint was the traffic on the street next to the stockyards and the food I had at a music place was unfortunately not tasty. Probably should have done the steakhouse.

Amazing place, walking in Fort Worth I felt like in film, beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people, authentic city, various shops and restaurants. You will not be disappointed! The sunny day made the atmosphere even better, the city was shining with Christmas decorations. Parking places are very close to the central street too.

Fun collection of shops built right on the historic stockyards. Pretty cool redevelopment concept and plenty to do, eat, or see. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're in Fort Worth.Did not catch the cattle stampede but heard good things from people who had. Something for everyone here and quite kid friendly.

FREE event, Christmas parade was awesome! Good vibes, family atmosphere, lots of shops and very good and affordable restaurants. Plenty of parking lots, I think streets are free to park but not sure. We paid $17. Christmas tree is nice looking! There’s so much to see. Bring your beer!

We visited the stockyard to see the cattle drive. It’s a lot smaller than I had envisioned (maybe only 8 or 10 cows), but you can look at the cows in their pens. There’s lots of activities for kids such as pony rides, a maze, and a petting zoo.The historic downtown area is really cool! There’s lots of fun stuff in the gift shops.There’s a few parking lots, and the ones we saw allowed you to pay by scanning a QR code.

Fantastic way to spend the day immersed in the old wild Wild West. Many stores, shops,, western boutiques, pubs, and restaurants. Several hotel options as well. Awesome if you can time your visit to see a rodeo, and one of the cattle drives. There’s also an old train station where you can take a train to Grapevine, near Dallas. Don’t miss this place when visiting Dallas (45min - 1hr drive), or Fort Worth.

We had an amazing day at the Stockyards! We were shocked at how much there was to do! We arrived around 10 and we're able to see the 11:30 cattle drive... longhorns walked down the middle of the street. Then we spent the day shopping and exploring. A great first day in the Fort Worth area!

Awesome! Amazing! We had a great time all day. We visited the John Wayne Museum, the Stockyard Museum and the Cowboy Museum. We watched the cattle drive twice and had the best steak I have EVER eaten. Love this place!!

What a fun place to visit!! We visited at night to attend the Rodeo and again the next day. Great place for all ages as long as you are able to walk. Sidewalks would be difficult for a wheelchairs since it's more of an uneven cobblestone/brick. Browsed the stores and shopped. Had a great lunch with co*cktails. Family members went on a trail ride. They have a livestock petting area etc.

Great place to visit, shop, eat and have a fun experience with the Texas longhorns. It's a unique experience getting to watch those massive bulls walk down the center of town. If you are in the area, this is a must!

I am from out of town in this place is a must for any out of towner. Lots of shopping lots of food lots of things to see. If you go at certain times you can see the steers walk through the street. Very cool place to check out. If you get lucky you might be able to even catch a rodeo.

Loved the Stockyards! The cattle drive is really cool and the staff was great fun. The shops on the main drag are expensive unless you really want high-end cowboy clothes, but all the shops down at the depot are fun for souvenirs and bargains. Would definitely go here again.

Five of us visited after arriving in Dallas for a conference, easy to find, plenty of parking and cowboys on every corner.Plenty of bars and food outlets, horse carriage rides and lots of history to take in.We didn’t see a show but they are meant to be amazing, if you want to enjoy cars and trucks riding round then you will get to enjoy these also.If you want dancing lessons you can find these on offer on a Tuesday and Sunday at a bar right at the top of the hill. Very good and they are really helpful teaching you the correct steps.

Is it worth going, sure. Is there a lot to do aside from shopping and eating....ehhh.We spent the whole day there and enjoyed our time. While there are things to do, including the herd and a few museums, it's mostly food and shopping over a majority of the place.It's fun to walk around the area, and themed to match the history of the location.Parking is by QR code. Something like $15/10hrs....something like that. There are on signs in the parking lot.
