Grand Marnier probably appears in a lot of your favorite co*cktails. And if it doesn’t, maybe it should. It’s widely considered one of the best orange liqueurs on the market.
It’s made from cognac, distilled bitter orange and sugar. This gives it sweetness of orange with the depth and complexity of cognac.
Grand Marnier was created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. It quickly became popular in France and around the world.
This liqueur is popular on its own as an after-dinner drink. But it’s also a key ingredient in a number of well-known co*cktails. It’s even used in cooking.
